Here at xyza: news for kids we’ve been following the presidential race, eagerly anticipating the results of each state’s caucus and/or primary election. Why? Well, these results ultimately decide who will represent the Democratic and Republican parties for the final leg of the race to the White House. It is also a great time for kids to learn about the election process as it is happening.

We are getting some great questions from our readers about the elections. Here are the answers to some of our favorite questions.

1. What is Super Tuesday? — Damien, age 6
It’s when the greatest number of states held their caucuses and/or primary elections.

2. If Hillary Clinton became President, what would people call her husband?Siona, age 8
There’s no official title since no woman has ever been President of the United States.

3. Who are the remaining candidates in the Republican race? Josh, age 9
As of the first week of March, it looks like Donald Trump is leading but Ted Cruz still has a chance, since over half of the states have yet to cast their votes!

So many great questions and so many still left to be answered! Whatever happens, we’ll be sure to keep your kids up-to-date on the latest results, campaign chatter, and candidate moves in the upcoming issues of xyza: news for kids
